Badly needs upkeep!

The government spent alot of money to build this structure, and renovation, upgrade, or fresh paint here and there will surely keep tourists coming.

It was also my first time to set foot at the Cultural Centre of the Philippines, a 1970s cultural edifice that showcased cultural performances and the arts of the once infamous First Lady Imelda Marcos. We caught the last performance of Swan Lake which actually commemorates the 140th year anniversary of this famous Russian Ballet which first debut at the... More

This building is huge but also a waste of space. Not a cozy or warm feel at all. However, it has some nice artwork on all the floors. The location is a bit of a walk from the LRT but once you get here there are a few other attractions in the area. The museum of music was closed at... More

The place isnt an architectural wonder, could be ok to visit if you already seen all the other attraction in the area, or to see a show. Generally speaking isn't also super well preserved, I presume this giant concrete box has seen better times.

The Cultural Centre of the Philippines remains one of the better theatres in Manila. I attended the Magsaysay Awards last week and the presentation was perfect - good lighting, good audio, good video.

CCP is one of my happy places. From watching ballet shows, to Cinemalaya screenings, to Philipine Philharmonic Concerts, CCP proves that it showcases the Filipino excellence in arts and culture. I hope that more people, especially the youth, get to experience and see the shows here. It saddens me that most of the time, during PPO concerts, the crowd is... More
