Just to enter the area with the necropolis transports you to back to ancient times. The ruins are kept well (as well as ruins can be expected) and you do generally get a sense of what things used to be like as you walk around....More

recommended for the several Lycian tombs here and old mausoleums - all have info boards and walking paths to make your way around. worth a visit

The Necropolis is an ancient burial ground & has impressive open tombs. It makes up part of the wonderful Patara ruins that date back 2000 years. Remarkable what humans could construct in those ancient days.
