Great place to relax with a picnic or dog walking. Take a blanket relax in the sun, walking shoes are best for the trails.

Beautiful hike! Doing both trails is 5.2 miles. A lot of elevation change with some long steep hills. Great views over the lake with opportunity to see bald eagles. Windsurfer was out on a brisk January day while I was there.

Dogs aren't allowed at the beach area, however, I've let me Labs away from the beach and never had a ranger approach me. I would call the ranger station and ask to make sure.
