Went as a family outing and liked it so much we became members. The zoo is huge. It is split up into an Africa half and a North American half. Great big exhibits throughout. Can't wait to go again!

This zoo is awesome. Its set in a wooded area thats shaded and comfortable. The exhibits are beautiful, and plentiful. It took all day to see the whole thing.

I did not check out the situation for wheelchair assessability, but I do know that there are free trams, buses and shuttles around the zoo, and to the parking lots. There is a hop on site near each entrance, and one more... More

I would suggest the Hampton Inn. There's another hotel right beside it also. These are the closest.

I stayed at the Hampton Asheboro with my grandkids. They loved the large indoor pool, and breakfast was great. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.
