Walked in and was given a personal tour by Mr. Sam, 92 years young! He is a very good story teller and made our visit most enjoyable. I could have listened for hours. The round barn I a beautiful piece of architecture.

There is a lot of history packed into this. This particular round barn was built with the thought tornadoes would go around it because of it's shape. Then it was taken out by a tornado in 1912. There is a section devoted to round barns...More

They didn’t open until 10 and it was super windy so did we a quick hop out and photo op and then moved along. Would have loved to look inside. I imagine it would be pretty neat. Good photo op either way.

Worth a visit even though it was after hours. Just walking around the old barn caused wonder about what was inside. Although I've been in it, its fun to just let the imagination wander. Covered windows or hatches around the walls, old agriculture machinery in...More

Stopped at the Round Barn again too show a friend. The barn has some information about the history inside and a small gift shop that supports the barn. It is a nice photo opportunity on Route 66.

Unusual round barn in Arcadia OK. It is outside of OKC, on Route 66. Not much to see but it's an interesting structure but a long time ago.

We were down the road eating at Pops. We decided to come here for a short stop over. Our tour guide was a 91 year young man. He didn't look over 70. He was full of information about this Historic Landmark. My youngest son is...More

The Old Round Barn is a historic landmark on Route 66 in Arcadia, OK, just a few miles east of Edmond. Built in 1898, this is the only true round barn in the US. Before I-44 went in, the barn was the most photographed landmark...More
