New to living in PA, I'm regularly exploring and trying to find things to entertain my active 2-year old and 4-year old. This place looked interesting, but I was completely blown away and impressed upon arrival. It is such an unassuming place and inside it became magical. The detail and care are just amazing. Reviewers complained about the 30-minute show,... More

This is an impressive train exhibit with lots to look at and enjoy. We brought my 2 year old who LOVES trains and he really enjoyed it. It's nice that they have step stools around for the little ones to see better. BUT-- we were really disappointed that you only get 30 minutes to see the exhibition!! We didn't even... More

My wife and I were traveling through PA and chose Merchant Square as a break stop place half way. The builder/owner/host of the model train layout gave a brief introduction then let his guests wonder around at leisure. It is impressive. I was surprised my wife enjoyed it too originally indulging me on this choice but she liked all the... More

Visiting Allentown for a weekend getaway and decided to stop in to see the model trains. Admissions is $8 and it was well worth it for the 30 minute showing. The model trains and thematic village/city set ups are really nicely done. Glad we had stopped in.

This is a fairly new attraction. It's in an industrial park. The same building has a large collection of pro wrestling memorabilia and other collectibles. The train set up is quite large with lots of custom buildings. There's even a lake and "rain" clouds. The main layout is O scale and there's a smaller HO layout in the same room.... More

An intricate setting of towns, parks, amusement parks, shopping malls, gas stations, small town americana... etc. all in miniature with multiple trains running through. Many of the pieces are 'animated', that is, they have moving parts. Ferris wheel, Skiers going down a ski slope, trash trucks collecting trash, etc. There is even a thunderstorm!

My son loves trains and we have been to every exhibit within a 100 mile radius of our home. This is by far one of the most unique and intriguing exhibits you will see anywhere. It is my son's favorite. It has to be seen to be believed. The exhibit is housed in a very unassuming building. This place is... More

This place is very cool...even for adults. There are so many trains and villages and carousels and parks...Need I say more. They are open on the weekends and the display runs for 30 minutes but you ca go back as many times as you want during the day. The building has a large consignment section and there are many good... We took my grandson and we were not disappointed. They had a nice display while you waited for the show. In fact. My grandson stood there for a half hour memorized by the train carasoul and buttons that made things move. Inside was a large or should say several large cities with trains cars lights and many carnivals. My grandson... More
