Museums are so much more engaging when they are interactive. Nothing can beat a talented docent but alas they are few and far between. This museum found the solution. Filmed characters projected holographically throughout the museum share their stories. You get quality presentations without having...More

Great museum! Timeline stared in the beginning all the way up until the late 1800's. Indians, cowboys, pioneers, and buffalo were covered in detail. The different trails that the cattle drives used were explained. The way it was presented was hi-tech. with holograms. There display...More

We really enjoyed this museum. The hotel suggested it and it did not disappoint! The second movie is not to be missed. I really enjoyed the interactive hologram figures. It was interesting and really learned a lot.

Very enjoyable and informative. Start with a short movie. Then different booths set up with different characters from history in holograms. Not expensive for admission.

Nice visitor center, museum and gift shop. Grounds to walk our dog. Friendly and informative employees. The area has few historical attractions, so this is a must

This is a fun little museum with some nice artifacts and useful technology, particularly the holograms. But the reason it works so well is that it is based on the personal stories of individuals form West Texas's past. The actors in the holograms are very...More

Designed as a gateway to getting a feel for “near” West Texas, this facility is a good introduction to the region. Relying heavily on technology (with all of its glitz and headaches), Frontier Texas makes the history of Texas between Fort Worth and Big Spring,...More
