This has been totally revamped. It is fun and very educational. Kids love it. Adults have so many frontier articles to read and study. This is appropriate for all ages!

On the outside, it doesn't look like there is much going on with this little museum. However, once you get inside, you see all the different cool things that they have, including hologram tour guides which is incredibly interestin.

Since it was the number one thing to do in Abilene I had to check it out. I learned a great deal about the area in the pioneer days that has helped me form opinions for things that happen today. The theaters were good too....More

This is a must see stop. Just traveling through - it would be a great break from the road too. We spent about 1.5 hours. Great history!

Totally enjoyed this experience. We were surprised and glad we stopped in. Spent about 3 1/2 hours at this museum. Interactive which was very nice. Lots of history and very helpful staff.

Frontier Texas is high class for any city but serves as a gateway museum to the stories of the wild west and Texas frontier. Technologically interactive, holograms, 4D movie...lots of authentic wild west memorabilia. No matter how far out of the way you must go,...More

Lions and Tigers, oh my!! Despite the cloudy day we enjoyed our morning at the zoo. The Peacock did his full feathered presentation so well:-). The zoo features a nice presentation of the animals and the layout is great.

We were looking to kill time on a rainy, blustery Saturday and we really enjoyed Frontier. Not a huge place, but very thoughtfully done. We learned things we didn't know and enjoyed the exhibits. Friendly people, too...but then, it's Texas.

This is a great place to check out while staying in Abilene TX. Interactive fun hands down. The price was not bad and the kids enjoy it as much as us adults.

I am not aware of a visitor's package (there is a group package). When we went, we bought the tickets at the museum's box office. Sorry for not being that helpful! For more information, you may want to check the web pages... More
