We really enjoyed this interesting museum and then when we went to Big Bend we were able to apply some of the things we learned at the Museum. Alpine is great too!

Free. Nicely done and informative. I left with a better sense of the history of the area - both geologic and human.

What a great museum located on the Sul Ross campus. It is packed with history and artifacts for the Big Bend area. Don't miss the maps downstairs! If needed, nice bathrooms too. Plus its free!

This was a great small (but not too small) museum to ground you in the history and biology of the region!. Some wonderful displays will bring you from prehistoric times to 20th century history. Very enjoyable and comfortable. Plan to spend at LEAST 2 hours here. You could easily be here 3 or 4 hours depending on your interests.

Recently took a trip to Alpine and stopped into the museum. Although it is small it is full of history from the area. It was well worth the trip!

This small museum packs lots of artifacts and history in a relatively small but carefully designed space. It is an excellent preview for any first-timers visit to Big Bend.
