Great place for those that love horses and want to get out of the heat. Mechanical horse to ride and a 10 minute movie to watch. We learned a lot.

We were only in the area for a couple days and unfortunately numerous things we had hoped to visit were closed on Sundays. There are nice horse sculptures outside the museum. Be sure to check museum hours.

I've always wanted to visit when we've gone through Amarillo before. There are some great photo opportunities outside. Inside has a great genealogy chart. History of horses (current exhibit), horse anatomy, upstairs has the hall of fame and history about quarter horses through the years.

Took a group of third graders there a few years ago. Great if you're into horses or have young kids that are all about cowboys.

Visited this Heritage Center and although I am not very knowledgeable about quarter horses, I still found it to be an interesting visit.
