Horrible experience with most rides inoperable
Oct 2021 • Family
Don’t waste your money. Nearly half the rides are closed, and a large number of the functional rides are running at 50% capacity with unmotivated staff. Try again another time IF the staff figures out how to keep attractions operating.

Better than ever!
Oct 2021 • Family
Six Flags has improved drastically over the years. We used to think of them as just a local amusement park with bratty teen employees. But, that has changed quite a bit. The staff is much more professional than before, the rides continue to improve and the food is better than it has ever been. I actually crave Macho Nacho’s some days. Also, events like Fright Fest and Holiday in the Park are more fun than ever. We have become members because the value is a no brainer. I highly recommend a visit.

So disappointing!
Oct 2021 • Friends
We thought it wouldn’t be terribly busy on an October Saturday, but we were so mistaken! Spent $278 on tickets for 4 people and left without riding a single ride. The roller coasters all had 90 minute + plus wait. We tried waiting for the log flume - app said it was only 30 minutes. We left the line after 30 minutes when it seemed we probably had another 45 minutes to wait, for a log flume! What a joke. The roller coaster lines looked insane - probably a 3 hour wait for most of them. We cut our losses and left.

Six Flags Improved

New park president, Ron McKenzie, has vastly improved this park. Improved theming, cleanliness, and security are obvious.

The happiest family in the world

I and my family visit the park as if it's our family reunion and we always have a blast. This gives us the time to enjoy ourselves as one. Thanks to the park we just can't stop coming back.

Six Flags could care less about medically fragile guests
Aug 2021
If I could give Six Flags Over Texas negative stars, I would! I purchased a season ticket membership for 2 children and 4 adults, and paid for the membership over a year. When covid hit on March 2020, I called to cancel my membership (in addition to the fact that they were CLOSED- my grandson is medically fragile and too young to get the vaccine). I could not do it online (so I didn't have a written confirmation), but was assured my membership was canceled. My membership was on a card I rarely use, and it was my mistake not to check and make sure I was not being charged.

I called customer service to cancel AGAIN August 2021 and asked for at least a partial refund- I explained the situation and asked them to check my membership and they would see I had not used the membership since before March 2020. They would not even refund me the membership charges for the months they were CLOSED!! I even explained that the reason I didn't have a written record is because their web site was not available (I guess it was crashing due to the volume). I was even on the phone for over an hour waiting to talk to someone.

Venues that were forced to close were given compensation from the government to pay for payroll and other losses...and it appears that Six Flags just pocketed the money and is refusing to compensate their customers for loses THEY incurred when the park was closed.

I tried everything and even spoke with a supervisor and since I did not have written confirmation of the cancelation- they refused to reimburse me ANYTHING. I protested with my credit card, but Six Flags denied the back charge- and I did not have the documentation to dispute the outcome. I will never go to ANY of their parks again!!

BUYER BEWARE- Six Flags does not care about their members...especially their medically fragile members and families!! HORRIBLE customer service and business practices. I can only hope that karma pays them a visit!

Short Staffed and Unprofessional
Sep 2021
We bought memberships for our family (sons are 7 & 3). Been 4 times the last 1.5 months and most of the rides my kids could ride are shut down (Rapids, mini mine train, 2 rides in Looney Tunes area, kids swings), every time we have gone. We were told they are short staffed so the smaller rides close first. But, I still have to pay my membership, right? We went on Memorial Day and the Johnny Rockets Cafe that was supposed to open at 11 informed us it would be 12 before they opened. Most of the other stands that sold drinks were closed, too. We waited 15 minutes after 12 before the customer in front of us started knocking on the door asking for an update. The staff stood at the counter all laughing, one eating, and one on phone. My 3 year old was beat red from the heat and started crying for water. The guy in front of us tried to let them know we had a kid in need of water but they continued to laugh and then all turned their backs to us, leaning on the counter. 20 minutes after 12 we went to the front of the park where I filed a complaint and told I would receive a call, but that has not happened, yet. I called to see about canceling our memberships since this incident and was told we could not since we are in a years contract and if we canceled our card I would be sent to collections. Moral of story, if you want to pay for terrible service and not many rides for your smaller children or food stands open, go to six flags.

First time visitors
Sep 2021 • Family
First time visiting 6 Flags. We enjoyed it all. The freight fest decor was awesome. We loved the looney toon characters too. It was super hot out just wish there were more mister stations around. The park was clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly. Just like all theme parks food and drinks are not cheap but the food is good. Most definitely will be back.

Disappointed
Aug 2021 • Solo
Was so excited about going to the original six flags. Loved Great Adventure and went to two other Six Flags locations before so was thinking this one would be just as fun. Sadly, the reviews are true. At one point, you can tell this was a fun park and similar to the others in the Six Flags brand. Unfortunately, the park hasn’t been maintained and it’s clearly showing its age. For being a roller coaster enthusiast, I was only able to ride on a couple of rides before I left. It was way too hot with little areas to cool off and most of the vending machines / were sold out of water along the way (!!!). Overall, very disappointed and sad that it’s become in the state it’s in.
