Cold water filling the largest public pool (Barton Springs) I've ever seen. Tree lined areas so you can escape the hot Texas day. A diving board for the show-offs. Rules are a little strange: no food, no drinks, no coolers, topless tanning OK.

Park was beautiful. Everyone seemed to be having fun. Boat rentals available. Park far exceeded my expectations. Good old-fashion fun. Next time I will ride the train to learn layout of park. This is a top attraction.

I have been in Zilker Park a number of times after dark and have seen no reason to be concerned, however its a very large park near a big city, consequently I would advise all due caution

No. There is no tent camping at that park. But there are in other parks in the area that have tent camping.
