Great place to hike in nature right in the city limits (near the airport)

The Onion Creek Hike and Bike Trail (2.8) is paved (blacktop) and mostly flat, so it is a great place to walk in nature. I liked it because it was not as crowded as The Barton... read more

Beautiful park, very pretty. Visited in January, so trees were bare but is gorgeous. Very nice walking trails. Love the falls.

We visited on a Monday morning which turned out to be a great time. Very little foot traffic with us as we roamed the trails. We needed to stay on marked trails because of recent rain apparently so we did just that. A good way to spend a nice day and would highly recommend it.

This is a great swimming hole in the summer. Its close and convenient to get to and it has two separate swimming areas that are both very charming.

The Onion Creek Hike and Bike Trail (2.8) is paved (blacktop) and mostly flat, so it is a great place to walk in nature. I liked it because it was not as crowded as The Barton Creek Greenbelt near me, and there were no dogs off leash. Camping is available, as is fishing, but the Interpretive Center is currently closed... More

We needed to find something to do while waiting for a flight to arrive. This was close by and we could see a lot in an hour and a half. We saw both falls and walked the trail between them, passing by the rock shelter on a warm December day. Met some nice people. The water level was high enough... More

We stayed here for 5 nights and found the park to be very clean and the staff friendly. Just look out your camper/tent and be surrounded by wildlife. Deer roam freely, lots of birds and an occasional armadillo. Lots of family things to do in park and only 5 miles from highway. Sites are large, many offer privacy and all... More

First time coming here. Not too crowded. Entrance fee: $6 per person There are 7 trails. Hiked probably 3 of them. Saw the Upper Falls and Lower Falls. Did all of that in 3 hours. Being by the lower & upper falls are very relaxing. If you don't care for walking through the woods, I highly recommend coming to at... More

Small waterfalls, streams, trees and interesting rock formations. There were several people fishing.

This is a nice quiet place if you want to get away from the city. The falls, especially after a nice rain, are soothing. Nice place to also take a small "romantic" walk just the two of you.

This place is gorgeous. The waterfalls, trees, and rock formations make this place a photographers dream. We also took our couple to the Hamilton house. The images you can get from this location are outstanding. We would love to come back in the summer and swim in the lagoons.
