Simple food prepared fresh. Lots of seating. Order at the counter, delivered to the table. Lots of windows makes the place light and fresh.

This is a great stop to pick up some local flavor in the form of arts, crafts and photos. The downstairs is chock full of colorful gifts and jewelry in a wide range of prices. I picked up a beautiful glass suncatcher for $17, but...More

We met so many nice people on our trip to Texas, I’ve lost count. One that stands out in my mind though was Shane at the Visitors' Center at the Old Bakery & Emporium. The reason for our trip was to move my nephew to...More

This old building is worth a look. The history is told in a museum upstairs. Downstairs is a shop of local made things you can buy. Great way to support the local arts. Recommend.

It is beautiful building at right side when you almost arrive to the Capitol. Cozy, charn, and also a very friendly staff, in a place you could find those special gifts for your self or for others.

What a delightful shop! A wide range of QUALITY handmade art and craft items, made by "seniors" over age 50. There's also a free art gallery upstairs, and a small museum area. We bought some beautiful dessert/appetizer plates that are very unique.

I absolutely adore this place! The building was an old bakery and has the items from it in a museum upstairs on display. The downstairs is a visitor's center and a store for artists 65 years and older to sell their works. I purchased several...More

This is a lovely little place about a long block from the capitol. It's a bit inauspicious and it bills itself as a visitor's center, mini-museum upstairs and a crafts market with all the artisans local residents over 50. Okay, I'm over 50, and I'm...More

This beautiful antique building houses a visitor center, mini museum and an art gallery highlighting the work of elder craftspeople. It's all wonderful but I was especially impressed with the variety of outstanding "craft/art" items on display and for sale. Jewelry, art, fabric design, clothing,...More
