Although the video could definitely use updating, the experience was wonderful. The sculptures were clearly labeled and the brochure explaining them was excellent! The atmosphere was so peaceful and so enjoyable to spend time here.

This is a must for everyone the sculptures are set in an ideal setting with freedom to move around. Each turn gives a new view or brings into focus another statue. Unlike a museum the open grounds allow one to see the beauty of each...More

Very nice place to view works of art set among nature. Literature available to tell you about each piece of art. It is a nice way to spend an afternoon.

My daughter planned her wedding here in September 2017. It turned out beautiful. I enjoyed the beautiful location and the staff were pleasant to deal with. I recommend for a small wedding party.

I live on the hill above the gardens and so get to see it every time I drive out of the neighborhood. As an outdoor art gallery, it is well done, a lovely stroll and new stuff added episodically. What I get to see from...More

American sculptor, Charles Umlauf. A beautiful garden with his sculptures placed around. Not large or fancy, but everyone who has gone there with me has been quite pleased. The museum is small and had a Farrah Fawcett exhibit which was very nice.

We were glad we stopped and waited for parking. The garden even in the winter is nice and established with a water fall and much more to see. The muesum and film are worth visiting inside.

You don't get to see many places dedicated to this type of sculpture. There's also a video on his life and how he made the sculptures. Probably 30-40 works of art on premises but there is repetition. Some change mostly by size. Nice area to...More

Unknown to me, Umlauf was a masterful sculpture, former faculty member at University of Texas and benefactor of this Garden and Museum. The admission fee in nominal and includes video, garden viewing and indoor museum which clarifies the atists techniques.

There are other places in Austin that might welcome such services, though. The Butterfly Garden and the Zilker Rose Garden, for ex.
