You don't get to see many places dedicated to this type of sculpture. There's also a video on his life and how he made the sculptures. Probably 30-40 works of art on premises but there is repetition. Some change mostly by size. Nice area to...More

Really cool sculptures! The place isn’t ginormous, but i kinda liked that. The staff were really nice. Overall, it’s a pretty cool thing to do.

Not expensive to visit at 5 bucks and probably great if you love traditional figurative American art....great for seeing how the artists styles changed and marvellous that umlauf donated his home/garden to the people of Austin but not terribly exciting...and no cafe...boo!

Go for a visit to just tour the grounds and see the art. If there's an event in the evening the lights in the sculpture garden along with outdoor music and dancing - seems like only the best restaurants cater these parties.

Very nice sculpture garden, with nice (not great) sculptures by Charles Umlauf. We attended a small wedding here that was lovely. Great venue!

After spending a couple of days in downtown Austin, it was so nice to be in this serene sculpture garden. Beautiful grounds, well maintained. No food or beverages are allowed, but you can purchase bottled water in the visitor’s center. There are restrooms on the...More

This was a cute small area to walk and see all the sculptures. It takes maybe 30 minutes to see, but not a lot of parking on the grounds themselves.
