Terrible climb. View not worth the risk. Not a safe place to be. The guy I went with carried(concealed) and I was glad!

We went up mount bonnell for a nice hike. Great view of the Colorado river and beautiful home that sit on the banks. You can also see the 360 bridge as well.

It's a quick little side trip. Not many steps but kind if slippery rock steps. The view at the top is cool, but the view is obstructed at the top. There are too many bushes and trees in the way, but the sign says re-vegitation...More

A little climb up a Rocky hill will reward you with beautiful views of the river. You can see boats and mansions. Dogs are welcome to climb as well.

We would have missed this amazing spot if not for Trip Advisor. Thank you! Caution: There are 105 steps to climb, but if you are up for it, by all means make this stop. My husband and I just climbed to the overlook and enjoyed...More

Climb the steps or walk the path, your effort is warmly rewarded with the view from the top of Mount Bonnell. See the city skyline and the river running through Austin.

I have made the trek up the stairs many times and it is worth it every time. I take family and friends when they are visiting to see the view. I take it slow due to a bad knee but it is worth it once...More

If you go to Austin, you have to take a trip out to Mt. Bonnell. It's a bit of a workout getting up the stairs, but the views at the top are worth the effort!

Yes. They have picnic tables & trash cans there in assorted areas but be prepared for a few people passing by & possibly asking for a bite of food!

Not long at all, maybe ten or fifteen minutes. It's not really a trail, just a set of steps up to the top from the parking area. It's absolutely worth doing, though, because its the best view in Austin.
