This park had great views. However, it was a relatively small area. Really wouldn't need more than 30 minutes to see the park. Had a bit of graffiti that needs to be removed. Overall just ok.

Very pretty scenery. Went at dusk and watched the sunset on Austin City. Easy to walk up either by 100 steps in middle or to the right a graduated climb. Lots of people come, so very safe. Pretty neighborhood. Highly recommended.

Let me first acknowledge that it has a nice view of the lake and Pennybacker Bridge. Beyond that, I really don't understand the throngs of people who jam the road in/out with traffic or risk their lives for an "OK" scenic view. The views are better and safer along Capital of Texas Highway at Pennybacker itself. Safety issues in the... More

Beautiful park with pretty great views. Had a a great time with the kids, especially on the short hiking trails around the park. Parking was a little difficult but not impossible. Definitely a must in the Austin area

It's about 1000 steps to the top, but worth it for the views and a helluva spot for a picnic lunch ;)

Nice view of the city of Austin from its highest peak. Walk up 106 stairs and walk down a winding dirt road back to the parking. Then drive around and see the nice houses in the neighborhood.

Mount Bonnell is another place I always take out of town guests. But it is also a great date place -- take a picnic and chocolate covered strawberries for Valentine's Day and enjoy the sunset. You can walk up the 100 stairs or you can come up the longer incline to the North (on your left at the parking lot).... More

A short steep hike, than leisurely rambles along the pathways that view the lake shore and provide great views for miles around. Read the historical markers about General George Custer's favorite picnic spot !

This is a good activity if you want to get out into nature. You basically climb a few hundred stairs and are up high enough to see downtown Austin and the lake. Be sure to wear athletic shoes due to all the rocks.
