The views were okay. Nice view of the city and the river. Too bad people littered some areas. It was just a flight of stairs to the top. A nice stop to check out while in Austin.

Only 8-10 miles outside of downtown, Mount Bonnell is a great stop for anyone. There is a decent amount of parking and you could park at the bottom of the stairs or all the way to the *right or north* end of the lot is a gentle slope to access the view points. There are 3 or 4 picnic tables... More

At 785 ft. above sea level, Mount Bonnell isn't much of a mountain. But, it offers a great vantage point right inside Austin for views (and photos) of downtown Austin to the East, The Colorado River, and the expensive houses that line the river. There are 2 ways to the summit: a series of 102 stone steps (w/handrail) or a... More

A must-do for all visitors. Great views of downtown and the river and 360 bridge and it's only a short walk up stairs or a slope to reach the top.

My husband and I showed up prepared for a hike...but this is really just a walk up a few flights of stairs. Once you are at the top, you can also walk down some of the paths to access different views. The views of Austin and the massive houses by the river are beautiful at the top of Mount Bonnell.... We went there a few times. It is a great spot to see awesome view. You can basically see the entire city on one side and very interesting river view on the other side. I loved it. I miss it.

There is a short walk uphill; not very difficult. There are 2 different views. Both are spectacular. Go around sunset, so the sun does not interfere. Plan to spend t least 30 minutes, better 1 hour.

What a beautiful view! A short hike to the top. Totally worth going to. We brought our 7 year old son. Just have to be careful by the edges.
