We did the bat tour boat and highly recommend it! We sat on top of the double decker bus and loved it. The tour was interesting and seeing all those bats was absolutely surreal. It surpassed all of our expectations. The price is right and...More

Our Friday night moonlight cruise is a wonderful way to finish your week and to start your weekend on the double-decker boat the Lone Star. Departing at 10:30pm for a one hour cruise to enjoy the Austin skyline, this cruise is BYOB and we play...More

I was a little concerned about the boat--it seemed pretty small for the number of chairs on the deck. I was afraid there might be a bad seat. But I was proved wrong--we all were able to see the bats, the skyline, a gorgeous sunset,...More

Thank you! The pontoon boats are a wonderful way to view the bats - everyone does get the best seats and they are BYOB! Hope to see you again soon!

We spent an hour on the Lone Star River Boat with Captain Robert. It was a very well narrated tour that took us down the river to see the skyline of Austin at dusk, and later at night. The highlight of this trip is the...More

Thank you for your excellent review! The cruise to see the bats is very exciting and fun for all ages. With a narration about the city sights, a beautiful sunset over downtown and seeing the flight of the bats, you can't get a better value!...More

Seeing the bats is pretty cool. There are a few negatives for which I deducted a couple of stars - 1.) you *will* get peed on by bats. Not enough to drench you, but it felt like a very light rain. Some people think that's...More

Seeing the bats is very cool - we do use the open air pontoon boats for the bat watching each night - it is the best way to get up close to the bridge and everyone has the best seats to view the bats -...More

Seeing bats take off from the Congress bridge @ sunset is well worth experiencing. Of course, you can observe them by standing on bridge, but taking the inexpensive cruise ($11) gives you much better perspective of the event, and the captain is full of trivia...More

I'm a native Austinite and have often stood on the Congress bridge and watched the bats come out, but the Lone Star River Boat bat cruise was different, fun, and totally worth the price of admission. The boat captains are awesome: knowledgeable, capable, and friendly....More

It looks like if you want to do a bat-watching cruise, that goes daily. The other two cruises they offer are on the weekend. We went on the weekend afternoon cruise which was lovely and entertaining.
