Central Market hosted Sarah Fioroni from San Gimignano, Tuscany for one of its delightful cooking classes. Sarah wears many hats: chef, sommelier and manager of her family's farm - Fattoria Poggio Alloro. In her 'spare time', she instructs cooking classes throughout the United States such the seasonal themed 'Winter in Tuscany.' This multi-course class/meal featured simple to make, delicious basic... Plus, there's a fantastic playground adjacent to the outdoor patio. We had a great lunch here on a sunny day in early January. We got salads, pizzas, & burgers for the 6 of us. It was totally worth visiting. I wish we had markets like this in our town. The kids had a grant time on the playground while we... More

The food in the cafe is creative and tasty. We make it a point to eat here prior to our shopping adventure. The food rivals anything we have eaten in Austin's many restaurants. Come early and avoid weekends, when it is almost impossible to navigate your cart through the store.

We went with a group of friends. The produce section was great, very fresh and a huge variety. This big selection we also found in other sections like snacks and cheeses. Clean and welcoming. We bought food and drinks and had them in the patio, which had live music and the kids played in the nearby playground.

This is a great market to shop for things you didn't know you wanted! The selection of cheese (and samples) is great and the variety of organic and local foods and beverages is wonderful. We also had lunch there - Cobb salad was very tasty but turkey sandwich was very dry. The people were nice and friendly, and we ended... More

Relaxing grocery shopping where you have many and all locally grown organic food. Enjoy a meal prepared by culinary students of Austin 's own culinary Academy at a fair price. Welcoming atmosphere where either you come with your family, friends or solo; very enjoyable on Fridays when there's live music without the costly cover charge.

Central Market is a great place to shop - it has lots of variety of organic, healthy foods. We also enjoyed the Cafe - the burgers were great, the Asian bowl was a little too salty, the salads were delicious!

We go here occasionally and it is like being in a different world. That's a good thing. Wholesome, natural foods from fruits to nuts. What a place!

The one side has a cafeteria sort of food to eat. You order and then pick it up. A wide selection of iced teas. The other side has a small market including a variety of cheese, baked goods, and vegetables. Try the cookies...so soft and chewy.
