This was so much fun, even just sitting and watching. I grew up two step dancing so this wasn’t new to me. Our only regret was that we didn’t do the dance lessons, because my husband could have used them (I think he would have...More

As soon as you walk in you feel at home. I was there for 10 minutes and had 2 guys come shake my hand and welcome me. Good cold beer, cheap. The Cash Band was playing a set, it was wonderful. A step back in...More

This has to be on your list of music venues to visit. Most night you’ll see owners James and Annette and they are wonderful to chat a bit with. Enjoy some local talent in the front room most ant night and then learn some boot...More

We went here for New Years Eve 2017-this place has been a Texas Dance Hall/Bar and restaurant since 1964- The owner is a member of the Country Western Hall of Fame-they had a 7 piece band that took one break-we danced into the New Year

Having met a lovely lady earlier that week in Soco whilst having lunch, I mentioned I was planning to visit Broken Spoke. She immediately suggested Tuesday night as the best to go and can't fault the advice. Having never two-stepped before, as soon as I...More

The dining room didn't offer any privacy so be ready to hear everyone, even those customers across the room. Food and pricing was very good. I ate in late afternoon and didn't desire another meal until breakfast. But the real experience---the hidden treasure---is the museum...More

I am a huge fan of Dale Watson. This is our second time hearing him play at the Broken Spoke. We took the two step dance lessons which were hokey. But you can't beat hearing get music and watching people dance.

Great to still see around even though hi-rises hide it. Food drink and dance. Stopped by for shirt and memorabilia

If you love country music and enjoy dancing, this is the place to go. It is true Austin at its best and really hasn't changed much since it opened, which is who knows when and we've been going since the '80s when there was nothing...More
