We ate dinner here - chicken fried steak - which was very mediocre so maybe eat before you come. The dance hall is what we came for. Long narrow dance floor with raised areas on each side with tables and chairs. We enjoyed the band...More

While in Austin, we had to visit this iconic honky tonk. Has a ton of great music history (lots of pictures inside of all the famous musicians/celebs who've been there). It was a pleasure to see the Derailers playing there! Good place to practice your...More

This place is a time machine with a very historic past in Country Western Music. Come around 7, get some chicken fried steak or chili, listen to an old cowboy serenade and play guitar in the restaurant and browse the "tourist trap" Then go back...More

Looks like place could be a lot of fun with a group. Went on an off night Wed. but must be a blast on the weekends.

We expected this to be an older dance hall. But it is obvious the owners are trying to get as much money as they can eke out and put zero dollars into maintaining the place. The roof inside is ready to fall down. It is propped...More

My husband had to make a stop a Broken Spoke while we were in Austin. About all I can say is that he can tell people he has been there. Old, rundown place with a sagging roof! We ended up arriving right at the end...More

It’s not really a children’s place but I believe in Texas children can go to a bar if they do not drink. They do have a separate restaurant
