SoCo has changed over the years, less old Austin and more upscale, great places to shop and eat and great festival's, parking is a challange, but there is public transportation, and other options.. SoCo is an Austin must for visitors,

Walking distance around 2 miles roughly. Not many buses better off getting a cab, or walk

Parking is very hard to find. You may have to park down the street and walk. If you are staying downtown, take a cab (I believe Uber is being discontinued in Austin). Getting there early in the day is better for parking... More
