Great cocktails and gorgeous bar area. Definitely stop in and have a drink, just up the grand staircase. Say Hi to the Bull head on the wall

The Driskill is gorgeous, the place to be to grab drinks, listen to local music and get info on things to do in Austin. We had brunch here one morning: great service, beautiful setting, but expensive. Concierge was more than happy to share her knowledge...More

This wonderful old place exudes history. A place where LBJ held meetings and drank with his friends. It is also beautiful with cattle baron brass sculptures that glitter bronze. You must visit at Christmas and wonder at the magnificent Christmas tree at the bottom of...More

We go here occasionally. Especially when out-of-town guests are here and they want to see the historical hotel. It is a very nice atmosphere and has live music during certain hours. The drinks are reasonably priced and the hors d’oeuvres are good.

Beautiful building and place to see. Had a good coffee and it gave a great impression of this historical building.

I've been here many times for many reasons. I love that it still has a historical feel though quite modern (okay maybe too modern for my personal taste.) I always mention it when someone says they want to stay in downtown Austin ..
