A good building for a convention. Plenty of restrooms, which is always a big plus. Great cell phone and wifi signal even inside the exhibition halls. The one negative is the on-site cafeteria was not open while we were there. There are no quick cafes or sandwich shops nearby, so you end up having to walk a few blocks to... More

If you like to walk around in a hangar for aircrafts, you would probably like this place. If you combine that with the joy of paying $ 4.25 for a small bottle of water, than that's it - go there! I won't.

Attended SXSW edu and found the convention center to be a solid home-base for the week's learning activities. Was frustrated at times that some stairwells and elevators did not service all floors, but overall found the venue bright, open, and accomodating. The conference organizers certainly did a great job maximizing all the meeting space available!

SXSW Video Game Expo Venue We flew from Philly to Austin just to attend the SXSW Gaming Expo and we were very happy with the hotel. The staff was super nice, the venue is beautiful and the location in Austin is fabulous. I have nothing but nice things to say about this place-

This is one of the better convention centers that I have spent time in: a 3 day conference in January. Each room was clean, spacious and modern. I read that there is an expansion project in the works and I hope the 4th level access is addressed in those plans.

Austin Convention Center is the hub for SXSW. You may go there for free to pick up publications for the festival. If you were lucky enough to purchase a badge this is the place to pick it up. The elevators to the upper floors are dramatic for the SXSW signs hanging with creativity. It is a wonderful venue to sponsor... More

Attended SXSW and found the convention center great for many of the sessions. The convention center is a bit dated and the carpeting in some areas felt like it needed to be replaced. You definitely need good walking shoes in order to cover ground in the convention center. And extra time to get too sessions. Good food vendors outside and... More
