The trails are all in the shade, beautiful, peaceful and clean. Went in the morning when it wasn't so hot, tho there was no water (due to drought) until we got to Sculpture Falls it was still beautiful. We will definitely go again.

This is the perfect place to take a walk or jog under the oak trees, get cool at Sculpture Falls, or try a hand at rock climbing. This green belt is an amazing asset to Austin. You don’t even feel like you’re in the middle...More

Lots of open green space to just sit and relax, plus various scenic spots along Barton Creek to watch people paddling kayaks, swimming, etc.

I am not much of a hiker but my family and I did hike there. It was beautiful and smelled so nice. There are some rough spots but if you take it slow you can do it.

Enjoyed the trails and the tranquility of this area so close to all the action of the City. Parking might be a little bit of a problem but otherwise it's a good place to spend some time with nature.

It looks like a jungle. You can scarcely see the creek from the trail anymore. It was really special once. Still a great place to swim when there's water.

This is such a gorgeous part of Austin. There is great hoking through the woods and along the creek. The hikes are not super challenging but there are many so you could really hike several miles and make a day of it. This is such...More

We did not do the whole trail. I am wanting to say we only went a mile and a half in or maybe it was 1.25 miles and walked back to the 1 mile marker. The only cliff face I saw was where people jump off into the water, and it... More

Absolutely. I didn't any picnic tables, so you'll need a blanket. There are many great places to set up a picnic. No garbage cans, so you'll need to haul out.
