Family friendly easy trails, but not many animals as expected. Peacocks are very nice and fun for kids.

Small park close to downtown, lots of peacocks roam the premesis, close to Mt. Bonnell. Quiet place for an extraordinary peaceful jaunt.

We have been taking our children and now grandchildren to Mayfield Park for decades. The Peacock population here is plentiful and a real treat to watch. All ages will enjoy seeing the show they put on with their plumage and listening to their eerie calls....More

Lovely little park on our tour that was beautiful and had gorgeous peacocks. In the hill country! Very peaceful!

Surprisingly nice place, very family friendly good place for family picnic. OH FYI reminder, check before you go. We were there during BEE season, and it was not fun specially for my 1 year old.

We had a nice and quiet visit. Peacocks in the gardens, water lilies in the ponds and then a beautiful walk on the trails that take you to a creek.

We had some time to kill so we stopped here to see the peacocks. They did not disappoint! We also took a short hike which would have been better without wedge sandals. We would like to return and explore some more.

This is a good spot for a quick visit and hike with young children. The garden is nice for photos too.

From where I parked, the trails were on the right, and the cottage was on the left. I added a photo (likely still being reviewed by Trip Advisor) to help clarify.

Yes, it is free. Take lots of film or a car charger for your camera or phone. You could do it in an hour, but the best experience is if you can spend several hours there, possibly, pack a small lunch and enjoy. Even small... More
