Love Alta

Alta is Alta an old fashion ski mountain. We even had 13 inches of powder on the last day. Mountain is a must for advanced intermeidates to experts.

Loved skiing at Alta, lot of great runs. The weather was almost perfect except for some snow on Sunday. easy driving to Alta and the lifts were busy but did not take too long. Did not eat at Alta but seemed to have a lot of happy other skiers, totally recommended place to enjoy Utah snow... Thank you

Alta is a classic. Great snow, great skiing. No night life. It's all good but Alta gas become a victim of success. No longer can you ski Alta powder much of the day, now you must hike to get untracked snow after 11am. Just too many people. If you've never been here, GO! But if you're looking for a whole... More

In all my 35 years of skiing in the Alps and Rockies (the past 25 mostly in the Rockies), this is my #1 favourite resort. I am a good intermediate skier and have no trouble navigating most of the runs at Alta. Tree skiing is magical here. Another attraction is that snowboarders are not allowed. Only issue I have with... Been skiing for over 35 years and finally made the trip to Alta last month. My finding - I'm an idiot for waiting this long. It is an absolute must if you have a strong passion for skiing. Perfect snow quality, diverse terrain, great technical spots mixed with variety of tree runs, reasonably fast groomers and plenty of easy access... More

The best snow on earth-welcome upgrades over the years include detachable chairs, faster ascents- but nothing can improve the spectacular views. Lots of traversing available for those whos enjoys powder hunting- one criticism is limited intermediate and beginning slopes. Grooming could be better to provide at least one packed run on most chairs so experts could ski parallel runs with... More

About 1 hour away from our hotel this awesome ski place is worth the trip to Utah. Fresh Powder and DEEP! Utah is getting pounded this year with snow..>Ski till July!!! The lifts are quick and efficient. One time I was going solo and they let me pair up with someone at the front of the line!!! Nice.... Gotta Ski... More

When thinking Park City area for skiing, I think Deer Valley, Solitude and Alta. Fact that two are skiers only ( Alta and Deer Valley) and two are in the cottonwoods (Alta and Solitude) shows my bias for both great snow and great atmosphere Alta is a serious mountain for serious skiers. Its BIG, its challenging and the snow is... More

Snowing on the day we were there so the visibility was somewhat limited. found some more sheltered runs off of the "Supreme" lift and had a great day. No snow boards is a good thing.

Snow, Snow, Terrain, Challenge, and more Snow I have been skiing here since 1979. The only thing that has changed is that they groom many of the descents and the ticket price had increased from around $10 to around $100 a day. The funny thing is that at around $100 today, it is a better bargain than it was back... More
