Norman Rockwell in detail

Nice quirky exhibit attached to the Sugar Shack. I learned a lot about Norman Rockwell's life. Small and easy exhibit to do while visiting Sugar Shack.

If you're a Rockwell fan, this is a quick must See! And you should browse the Sugar Shack for some treats and Vermont gifts (donuts are excellent).

We were on a tour bus & this was one of our stops. It was pretty interesting to learn about his life. The museum was worth the stop and the grounds were very pretty especially this time of the year. We took alot of good pictures there.

We had a spare hour so spent it here. I could have stayed a lot longer as I found the life of Norman Rockwell totally fascinating, and loved his paintings! What a talented and lovely man he was!

As a person who grew up in the 40s, 50s and 60's, Norman Rockwell was an artist who made a huge impression. It almost seemed like every week his art work appeared on the cover of the Saturday Evening Post. I have always admired how he captured America as we would like to see it. The museum was crowded but... More

If you are going to be close to the area, this is a cute place to stop. I wouldn't drive a long distance. The young lady who worked in the shop was absolutely adorable with her enthusiasm and helpfulness. The maple syrup is wonderful, and they ship.

As part of Sugar Shack it is a nice surprise to learn of Norman Rockwells connection to the local area. Copies of his art work and stories of the locals who served as models are on display and make this stop a wonderful pleasure.

I saw covers that I had never seen before--favorites were the three different April Fools covers==what a great sense of humor he showed in those! This small space takes advantage of every inch whether you are looking at all the pictures or other items that they have to sell in the next room (from maple syrup to souvenirs) to freshly... More

It looks like a typical Vermont roadside attraction, you know, everything maple, fudge and cheese. But inside is a fascinating homage to Norman Rockwell befitting a major museum. Rockwell captured America's everyday moments perfectly and this place will capture your imagination as well.
