We enjoyed our walk along the waterfront section of Old Town Alexandria. There were several street performers and food vendors along the way. We had views across the water and saw many boats cruising the river. It's a pleasant place to spend an evening.
Look into boat trips along the Potomac or eat at the Chart House right at the waterfront. Either way you won't be disappointed.
