I've lived in the area my entire life. I still love going to Arlington on a regular basis, but I approach it from the back side at Ft. Myer. Most visitors don't get to see it from the back unless you have military identification. First of all, this has the best view of the mall and the memorials from atop... More

Abe did his speech here. I came for the ingress mission, I stayed for the history. I stayed as long as I could as there was a military funeral going on for retired Lt. Commander Flores, 21 gun salute and everything. There is a new side and an old side. I wish I could have stayed longer, but my ride... More

An amazing place to see where our brave veterans of the different wars are buried. The highlights are the Kennedy grave with the eternal flame. You can also see Robert and Ted Kennedy's tomb near by. The Robert E Lee house at the top of the hill is interesting with many original furnishings. But of course the not be missed... More

Clean, quiet and beautifully maintained, the cemetery is in the western portion of the Wilkes Street Cemetery complex. It's a collection of cemeteries dating as part back to 1751. If your into local history do a web search for the complex and Old Town Alexandra history to download a walking tour. It's a few blocks from the subway and boarders... More

In a word: Incredible! Every US citizen should visit at least once. Beautiful peaceful place, lots of lovely trees, flowers... the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier was very moving - absolute perfection. We visited in October on a Sunday and there were a lot of people... we bought tickets for the shuttle train, but... More

Definitely a Bucket List location. Only $10 for the narrated tram that you can hop on and hop off to your hearts content. Such a deal & Worth every penny. Every employee that I came in contact with at ANC was very helpful and pleasant. Amazing views of DC from the high hills in ANC. Would definitely go back if... More

Alexandria National Cemetery provides a unique experience that you can't find in other places. The staff at the visitor center are very helpful and you can find lots of useful information. Certainly it worth walking around the cemetery and the JFK grave site is a must to see.
