It was quite amazing to visit my teenage hero's personal park. I absolutely loved being able to stand in the spot so many others have explored to connect with this musical superhero. I'm grateful nothing negative or death-related could be found at this park. The only thing that could be added would be a music box or some sort of... More

We do work stop on the bridge near the park. There is one statue and the park is super small. Why is this even here??

In memory of Kurt Cobain..... 🖤💙 Fallen Legend! I can only imagine the time he sent under the bridge compiling tunes for his next master piece.

What a disappointment. This park is extremely small, the grounds were filthy on the day I visited. The memorial has seen better days.

I was visiting this place before they added the sweet stuff and finally named it appropriately. Obviously, the best time to visit is in the day, but don't buy into the hype. There's no heroin junkies living here. It's surrounded by nice home, the beautiful Wishkah River, and maintained by parks and recreation. Even okay to take the Kiddo's. Watch... More

Driving to Aberdeen from Seattle is a long drive, something like 3.5 hours but if you are a true Kurt Cobain fan the entire experience will be very emotional and overwhelming for you. Once you get to Aberdeen you see the famous "come as you are" sign and you get to see the small town Kurt lived in. Finding the... More

Interesting for sure. Not what we expected though. Very very small park. Two minutes is all you need to see everything here.

Not a Nirvana fan, but a music fan in general. I was passing through Aberdeen and wanted to see what the memorial looked like. Much better than I anticipated, actually multiple memorial type pieces and quotes surrounding each other on the banks of the river. It is in an older area that looks a bit run-down in parts, but I... My son is a huge Kurt Cobain fan and he was very moved by this memorial. Parking is minimal and feels somewhat invasive of the people who live next to the park.

Located at the end of a one-way street, the memorial is difficult to get to without backing out for several hundred yards. A guitar with explanation nearby marks the area where Cobain spent much of his youth and 1/3 of his ashes are spread.
