Leisure walk or ride.

It's nice and leisure to walk or ride along the waterfront in Shimonoseki, especially in a cool sunny day.

The top of the lighthouse commands a very fine view of the Japan Sea side of Tsunoshima Island. The lighhouse itself is the oldest of its kind along the Japan Sea side. It was made by a British engineer. Lenses were brought from Britain and the beautiful stones were from Kurokamishima in Tokuyama(Shunan).

And if you want to try something fresh and local, you can eat some locally caught grilled squid. Tasted quite good! Give it a try. You can also walk up to the shore... More
