As for me, I feel sightseeing for fresh seafood market is "a must". We buy Pufferfish cost JPY 1000 a dish and eat at 2/F. My kids don't like here for crowd with people and wet floor.

If you like fresh seafood with abandon choices, you'd better visit the Karato before 10am. Seafood there is comparatively cheaper than restaurants. P.S. don't buy drink on the 1/F shops, there are vending machines on the 2/F which are cheaper.

Walkable distance, around 2km. Better rent a bicycle in Mojiko.
Hello there! Does anyone know how to get there from JR Shimonoseki station beside walking? Thank you in advance!

You can take a bus from the station. Walking wouldn't be a good idea as it'll take over 30 minutes. At the bus station, located right by the JR station, there will be english direction on which bus to take - Any bus from... More
