Lovely place to visit,,,,my Brazilian friends insisted ,,,when we arrived I thought I was in Kerry ,Ireland,,pony and trap joy rides every where ,lots of bars,casual restaurants,,friendly people and musical band playing on the square made for a lovely memorable visit,

Everything else is up and down so this can be quite a tiring place! It is like stepping back in town however and worth visiting the museums and other towns in the area.

You can't get anywhere in Ouro Preto without passing through Praça Tiradentes, probably by design. It has a good layout, pretty architecture, and great for people-watching.

Nice place, good staring point for most attractions in Ouro Preto. A bit annoying are the tourist guides and the guys trying to lure you to a certain restaurant. Traffic is a huge issue as there is an in and out of cars to all...More

historical place with atmosphere. Very steep streets on which driving a car especially after the rain you have to do carefully.
