You can't get anywhere in Ouro Preto without passing through Praça Tiradentes, probably by design. It has a good layout, pretty architecture, and great for people-watching.

Nice place, good staring point for most attractions in Ouro Preto. A bit annoying are the tourist guides and the guys trying to lure you to a certain restaurant. Traffic is a huge issue as there is an in and out of cars to all...More

You will definitely want to see this place, it is the centre of town, surrounded by beautiful buildings, shops, cafes, restaurants etc.

Nice square in this colonial town. Quaint cobbled streets run of it. During the carnaval, the main stage is situated here. Nice atmosphere troughout the day.
