Enjoyed the tour of the visitors center. Staff member surprised me with sounding an explosion in a mine shaft - gave you an idea of what it must have been like working in the mines for oar. Very interesting.

We were (and still care) confused between this visitor center and the one in Bayfield. This one has a great collection of videos, including many about the shipwrecks on Lake Superior. We didn't watch many here, because we were going the Great Lake Shipwreck Museum...More

While I had stopped at the Visitor's Center to obtain information on local restaurants, I spent a goodly amount of time looking at the displays. I needed to ask at the desk to obtain what I originally had wanted.

Great cultural museum run by several government agencies. Always helpful staff on duty. See Lake Superior from the tower.

We've been by the visitor center many times. We're glad we finally stopped for a visit. Great building but a little light and n exhibits. Overall it was nice. We will stop again in a few years but won't be in a rush.

We're glad you stopped too! We are in the process of adding a new exhibit to our main exhibit hall and our second floor exhibit will be changing at the end of May. Thanks!

We've driven past this Center many times. Finally took the time to stop in. Wonderful building with elevator to the top viewing area. Takes an hour or so to see it.

I've stopped here twice now and have enjoyed it both times. My kids ages 3 and 7 also enjoyed it - the older one more so than the younger. Lots of neat history and displays.
