Serene walk in middle of city

This is such a cool, and quiet place and allow a couple of hours to stroll around. The lakes are beautiful and so are the tree lined boulevards.

These gardens are probably the most pristine place in Rio, the different plant like and those little monkies running around makes it so interesting. Definitely go!

A walk through the Botanical Garden take you to a world of beauty & tranquility w/ specimens from all ober the World. This is not a rushed stroll, extensive as it is and a perfect escape from the rigors of a vacation, the City and an opportunity to be either alone or accompanied by that special someone!

Not that impressive - I expected more. Good for families to slow down their pace but overall I would say skip this one.

Attraction costs R10 a person, but is a large expanse with lots of different types of plants and gardens Some old and large trees in the centre, as well as a cactus garden, Japanese garden etc. Not a bad place to go for a walk if you have an hour or two to kill - shaded and cool, we went... More

A small entry fee but the gardens are well worth visiting. Lots to see an enjoy on a stroll through the grounds. A big orchid collection, plus was surprised to see the collection of carnivorous plants.

This is a beautiful place. You can stay all day long there just walking and listening to birds. there is a small restaurant where the food is very good.

At 10 reals, the entrance fee in US dollars is only $3 and you will find yourself in a peaceful oasis, in sharp contrast to the hustle of Copacabana. Take the subway (Metro) most of the way there (about $1.25 per ride, regardless of distance); the walk the rest of the way is safe and interesting plus passes a couple... More
