Absolutely amazing! It was my favourite place from all the ones I visited. My advice is to go early, as its huge and closes early. Also, wear closed, comfortable shoes as the pathways are not paved so your feet will get very dirty. Beautiful place....More

I went out of season so the park was almost empty, but whilst the entire botanical garden is very beautiful, the chief claim to glory is the majestic avenue of royal palms with dizzying length.

A lovely escape from the city and beaches. Beautifully landscaped and fabulous variety from cacti to bamboo and orchids. Well worth a stroll around and you can see Christ the Redeemer from here...

Come early. Takes 2 to 4 hours. Serene and natural. Wear very comfortable footwear to walk. Get to see many varieties of trees and plants from across the globe.

It was closed probably because November 15 is a national holiday.

I agree that morning is best as it can get hot. There are picnic tables in the children's park, but those fill up quickly and people leave their stuff there to claim a table. You can't sit on the grass outside of the... More
