This area is great! Very artsy, the beach almost looks different after the curve of Leblon. Loved going here and seeing the difference of street vendors. Board walk is lined with cafes and restaurants! Make sure to have a coconut while walking along the beach!

I like this beach more than Ipanema or Copacabana Beach, it's in more affluent area and less crowded, and with less vendors nearby. I personally prefer quieter place, and the view is just as spectacular.

We stayed in Leblon during our one week stay in Rio and Leblon beach is the perfect place to relax in the sun and people watch. It's not as busy as Copacabana or Ipanema which I prefer. Grab a towel of hire some beach chairs, get some coco de agua and soak in the sun & the surf.

Sand is great, and the water is not so wavy as Ipanema or Copacabana. You have a shopping mall two blocks away in case you need to buy something.

Liked everything, no dislikes. People there is very nice. The lot of drinking water sellers is around. The beach is nice, hot and sandy.

Situated right after Ipanema beach, it is just as beautiful as Ipanema, but perhaps a little quieter if you want it a little less crazy Han ipanema

Leblon beach is the continuation of Ipanema beach, heading south. It is indeed far less busy than Copacabana and probably a bit safer, although you probably should always be careful. Leblon is a more residential neighborhood and you won't find many beachfront hotels here. There is plenty of shopping and restaurants walking distance, as well as two malls.

Leblon is one of the better areas of Rio, and it's beach is less crowded than the touristy Copacabana beach. Also very nice restaurants nearby and no annoying street sellers.

Staying in Leblon

Neighbourhood Profile
In addition to being one of the most upscale neighbourhoods in the city, Leblon is charming, elegant and simple. This posh area has some of the most famous and expensive restaurants in Brazil, along with some of the city’s best nightlife (including some places open all night). One of the best places to visit is the beach, located under the impressive “Morro Dois Irmãos” (Two Brothers Hill). It’s a pleasant place to relax and admire the local beauty.
