Avenida Atlantica, with the iconic wavy sidewalk mosaic of Roberto Burle Marx, is ideal for strolling along Copacabana Beach. It is lined with beachside kiosks offering refreshments such as a chilled coconut, and at the far end is a quaint area where fishermen bring their fresh catch ashore.

This is a negative review based on most of my Brasilaero friends about the current safety of Rio. There are a lot of young gangs that may rob you on the most frequent tourist areas like the beach, Avienda Atlantica, and now even Nossa Senhora...More

The Avenida is an incredible road between a line of hotels and apartments and the superb Copacabana beach. It is very busy so needs respect, but has a great cycle facility(2-way) and fantastic promenade which runs for miles and includes an array of bars and...More

A great seaside promenade, lined along the beach with small bars that sell drinks at reasonable prices. On the other side, many restaurants, and some are pretty good.

Beautiful avenue with the Atlantic Ocean and the beach of Copacabana on one side and luxurious hotels on the other side. To me, it felt like walking along the beaches of Cannes or Nice in the French Rivera.

Take a nice stroll on the famous side walk and its wavy Portuguese stone pattern. Good for your health and your eye-sight! Amazing view over the Sugar Loaf, Niteroi and southern beaches across the Guanabara bay.

is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and
traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of
everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs,
chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and
more live side-by-side. There are options for all
price points and tastes. However, the most powerful
