So many wonderful hikes and waterfalls! What a way to spend a day with nature! Safe and well taken care, the park offers bathrooms a guidance. Cheap entrance.

During summer: nice waterfall at Poço Dois Irmãos. Some things to be considered: there are few closed tracks and be careful with accessible needs. They do allow you to bring your car up high but to get near the waterfall is a 10min hill forest...More

We made a long day hike up and down. Plenty of folks make the hike, some for an overnight on top, but it didn't seem crowded at all. There were lots of bromeliads and orchids.

2 Friends and I will be coming to Serra dos orgaos in May and I have a few questions as we would like to explore some of Brazil whilst we are there. Is it possible to stay in the park and if so how much for three people Which town is easiest to get a bus or train to from Rio in order to get to the park Are Regua and Serra dos Orgaos connected? How much is it to hire a guide whilst we are there and is it worth it or can you do most of the hiking yourself? Is it best to come to Teresópolis or Petrópolis, do they both offer good opportunity to get away from tourists and to see nature. Is there a map of the area we can use as Google maps does not show any hiking trails or places to stay. Any answers to these questions would be greatly appreciated as I do not speak Portuguese and can not find much information.
