I have been to some Catholic Churches in Brazil and I have to tell it was the best preserved church I've seen in Brazil. Clear, and clean. With some touristic instructors in entrance. Was a very positive surprise.

The church of São Pelegrino is one of the postcards of Caxias do Sul . It is large space with all the wallls and ceiling with paintings of Aldo Locatelli. A masterpiece with angels and biblical scenes murals so real that seems in 3D. The church was built in the beginning of 1950's is all covered with marble and has... More

The church interior is covered with beautiful and colorful paintings of the talented Italian painter Aldo Locatelli. Especially the Last Supper and the impressive Via Crucis. There is a replica of the Pieta donated by the Vatican. The doors are bronze and tell the story of Italian immigration with great expressive force!

Nothing really special, but it is always a place to find peace....! People use to fill bottles and bottles of free water to drink.

Very well conserved church. The access is easy because it is located in Caxias downtown. I`d recommend two hours to visit it.

Beautiful church, located between the Teatro San Carlos and San Pelegrino Shopping. Has ceiling paintings made by Aldo Locatelli, Italian painter. Very much worth a visit for history!

It is for sure a great art work to look at. Outside you don't realize how beautiful is inside. But once you got in you see Italian marble and European style inspired work. Worth to stop!
