Sala Sao Paulo is a beautiful venue with great acoustics. Get there early to explore the building before the performance. Or, check the website for a dress rehearsal ("ENSAIO ABERTO") during the day. After the evening shows, the crowd leaves the venue very quickly. You will see lines outside to catch a taxi out of the area.

Sala São Paulo is one of the ten best acoustic concert spaces in the world. Its a perfect spot to watch classical music or any other presentation they offer. They have parking space, cafeteria and a bookstore to enjoy after the presentation. The bad thing is the neighborhood. Avoid walking around, its dangerous. Take a taxi or go by car... More

The building is unbelievable! From inside the Concert hall you can see the train station. Besides, the concerts are all of hight level. You can by the tickets on internet and there are also free concerts on sunday mornings. The only constraint is that the neigbourhood is a bit dangerous. But if you arrive by train (Julio Prestes' station) it's... More

Really worth a visit. A tremendous achievement unfortunately in a unsaloubrious location. It was closed whem we went because Andrea Bothcelli was going to sing tht night but the kind lady let us have a quick look & then we had lovely tea & snacks in the beautiful cafe

Just amazing! The place is beatiful. It is comparable to the best music venues in the world. And OSESP (the orchestra that plays there) is brilliant. It's a must do in São Paulo. Be aware that it is located in a very poor neighborhood, with lots of homeless people walking around. On the other hand, the police is all around.... More

Every presentation I've watched here have been flawlessly produced. The only downsides are the surrounding area known as cracolandia, which makes leaving a night concert a dangerous activity. And the other thing is the small entrance that causes long queues when everyone arrives around the same time for weekday presentations.

This concert venue was created in an old train station. The whole atmosphere is captivating since you enter the Sala Sao Paulo. Its charming cafe, the rooms and of course, the main theater. It's a place where you're transported to another time, wrapped up by the of the power of the art

Each time I visit Sala São Paulo I feel More grateful for having such an amazing best in class concert house so close in the city I live. Everything about this place is joyfull and thoughtful. It is not a surprise but at the same time an extreme enygma that a place that houses just classic orchestra music is quite... More
