I attended a performance in the theater. Because I was late, I had to run through the rest of the facility, but all the spaces seemed amazing. An old factory that has been converted into a cultural center. The theater was beautiful with excellent sound, lighting, and sight lines, and the performers (Pau Brasil) were top notch.

I love this Sesc, it has a lot of expositions, concerts, games and things to do for all ages. During the weekends kids loves going there. Easy location by tube.

If you're visiting SP, always - I mean ALWAYS - check what is going on in the various SESC facilities around the city. There are always good (and very affordable/free) concerts, exhibits, lectures and different activities. If you're around Pompeia, do stop by Sesc Pompeia, if nothing else, to have a cup of coffee of their delicious and insanely cheap... More

Excellent option for Tuesdays nights to see good show, and to eat good and inexpensive food. The show is with free admittance! Super!

Designed by architect Lina Bo Bardi over an industrial plant of the 1930’s, SESC Pompeia is located in the Barra Funda neighbourhood, just a 10 min walk from Agua Branca CPTM train station or 2 km from Barra Funda underground station. This cultural centre in some aspects reminds me of London’s Barbican Centre. It has a theatre, musical stages, exhibition... More

Starting with the building, which is a recycled factory, to the multiple cultural activities they offer for adults of all ages, children, teens, in short, everybody, this is an amazing experience. They offer music shows, exhibitions, hands on activities and crafts, etc. And it is all free! They even have their own cafeteria with homestyle options. Great way to spend... More

Very cool place!!! They Have soup, hot dog, decent coffee and some snacks as well. There is always some attraction, live concert, performances, really nice! Since São Paulo is cold, they have a fireplace there... So is a cheap and really nice place to go. People are nice there a well. Really recommend this one.

A very typical cultural space for SP yet slightly different. It is all about the architecture and different architectural solutions . The centre is not that inviting for non-paulistas, i must admit. Was lucky to visit an exhibition by Marina Abrahimovic.
