This is a very posh coffee spot in Vila Magdalena, São Paulo's most bohemian neighborhood. While my sample size was small, i wasn't really impressed, and my service was less then great. Points for decor, definitely a cool space though it seemed to be steeped with hipsters.. If you're a coffee lover give it a shot and see what you... More

This is a fun stop. Coffee Lab is to coffee what a visit to a winery is to, say, Sonoma. Through Coffee Lab's experiences, you can try out different beans, learn about different methods of making coffee, and, in the end, you'll be a bit more of a coffee snob. Which is a good thing -- really. Buy some beans... More

São Paulo has terrific expresso options but if you were to pick THE temple, this would be it. A house full of coffee ninjas for your best experience.

Great menu, great environment, great decor, amazing coffee. The only downside is that I have already tried twice not paying for the optional 10% service (since I was not staying for the coffee and I had brought my to go mug), and they made a huge fuss about it, they made me feel super bad about not paying the 10%... This hole in the wall coffee place is easy to miss with a rather inconspicuous logo and sign hidden behind foliage. Went there on the recommendation of a friend and was not disappointed. They serve really good coffee in an experiment style. You can choose one of many "rituals" (which probably should be called "experiments" instead) where they will compare... More

Visit this place if you love coffee. If you don't like coffee still visit , it will change your mind. Tell them it's your first visit and the staff will explain the concept. You can go for just a coffee but the different rituals offer the opportunity to try coffee in different ways and the cakes aren't bad either -... More

Beautiful space and a great menu. Great selection of drinks and beans. In the vila madelena neighborhood and tucked into a small set back space. Darling patio seating and relaxed decor. If i lived in Sao Paulo, i would make extra efforts to visit this coffee house weekly.

There are several coffee shops that roast their own beans in São Paulo (Santo Grão, Suplici etc), but Coffee Lab is much more than that - its a full coffee experience hosted by enthusiasts. Apart from making a fantastic coffee, the staff are very happy to walk you through the pros and cons of wide range of coffee making paraphernalia... More

Staying in Pinheiros

Neighbourhood Profile
Exploring Pinheiros, a neighbourhood known for cozy restaurants and cafes, you will notice a youthful energy. Several cultural centres and institutes surround the area and even its main church, Calvário, hosts a traditional Brazilian “Festa Junina” - a celebration with traditional music, dance, and food during the months of June and July. On the weekends, residents gather at Benedito Calixto Square, a loud and crowded area where people enjoy live music drinks alongside the antiquities fair.
