Walking through the streets, you find lots of wonderful sights, sounds and shopping. It’s lovely to stroll around, see the church and shop.

To pass an afternoon fo saturday is veryu good. No more than this. If you compare Liberdade with Chinatown of San Francisco (USA), Liberdade is an ugly neighborhood.

Trying the street food is a must. The Gioza's at the corner stall that has a ticket system because they are so popular are worth the short wait. More info and pics at etbtravelphotography

You can also find street food and a little street market during weekends. You will also...More

Very good place to visit any day of the week, though the weekend is the busiest and more vibrant. There is a wide variety of places to eat in and make purchases, including the best pastel maker, Yoka, and the best Asian bakery across the...More

Lots of fun to wander, plenty of shops and restaurants dot the hilly streets. On Saturdays there's a sort of market in the plaza by the Metro entrance. The Metro in SP is clean and safe. And it's free to seniors over 65- even tourists....More
