I unfortunately had only the Sunday left to sightsee and visit this place. Interesting stalls and shops, mostly Japanese-Asian goods. I ended up just getting two "Liberdade" teeshirts for my family as they were the only ones with Sao Paulo on them. Heaps of handcrafted wares as well and trinkets, so be prepared to shop heaps if you are a... More

Sao Paulo, like New York is a melting pot! Liberdade is one of those unique places you find here. From restaurants, supermarkets, street market, even beauty shops (IKESAKI) , in Liberdade you can find almost everything! And it's very close to Se Square, in one day you can visit both places! Walk distance! Just be careful with your belongings. Go... More

It is an interesting experience to see the Japanese-Asian culture in the centre of Sao Paulo. It is like Japan. I like small restaurants by the metro stop for a short break after visiting the second hand bookshops near the cathedral. The neighbourhood and the local market is a good experience in Sao Paulo.

I've been to Liberdade quite a few times and, well, there are very few things you can't find there! They really sell everything you can possible imagine and have great places to eat either sushi or Chinese or even Korean :) Highly recommended to anyway, it's a great experience!

Known as an Japanese neighborhood for quite some time, currently Liberdade is also home for Chinese, Korean , as well as Japanese, retailers, restaurants and interesting attractions. Besides being one of the most touristic spots in Sao Paulo – Feira da Liberdade is a very popular attraction on weekends, it also offers some hidden treasures for locals as bookstores, temples,... This is the Japanese part of Sao Paulo and it is very nice. (also many Chinese shops) We went on a Sunday afternoon and really enjoyed looking at all the handicrafts and food stalls. We were especially impressed with the origami arts. Prices seem very fair.

The japanese and chinese neighbourhood in San Paulo is beautiful, full of live and cheap. On the sundays there is a fair with handcrafts, street foods and other things. It's always crowded.

The area is nice, Japanese stile lanterns to mark the place. Nice Japanese stores, supermarkets and restaurants.
