Wonderful church in a nice neighborhood in São Paulo. Wall tiles provide a beautiful atmosphere, and the sacrament Chapel is also wonderful and inspiring. Masses are also very interesting with good preachers, though they are very crowded.

Beautiful church, with references to many marian appariations in America. An interesting detail is the Portuguese-like "azulejos".

A nice composition based on the Minas Gerais Baroque in the XVII century, this very nice church is worth visiting, for its altar, side chapels, azulejos ans, for catholics, the nice masses said on Sundays.

Very traditional, the space if based in the barroco art, a golden environment. To marry there it is expensive and you have to book one year or more before the wedding.

This church is my favorite in the town. It is gorgeous, with the ceiling full of paintings about Jesus life, and the walls with portuguese tiles (I am not sure if real portuguese tiles or just inspired). If you want to go for a mass check the times at the website which has also a lot of information about activities... More

Staying in Jardins

Neighbourhood Profile
Located just below important Paulista Avenue, Jardins is the junction of four smaller neighbourhoods: Jardim Paulista, Jardim América, Jardim Europa and Jardim Paulistano. It is an upper-class area, offering a variety of things to do, including shopping, museums and parks. The neighbourhood is well known for “Oscar Freire”– the most luxurious street in the city, packed with high-end boutiques. In Jardins you will also find a trendy museum, São Paulo Museum of Image and Sound (MIS), which people often line up for hours to visit. If green space is what you're after, take time to relax at Trianon Park, a refuge in the heart of Paulista Avenue.
