I have the experience of looking for hotels in this district and never becoming disappointed. It's a cozy district to walk around and find good stores, art galleries, good restaurants, cafés, sophisticated food stores and delis, and also small places to fix a shoe, or a piece of clothing, when in need. It makes you feel like home. On the... More

"Jardins" is a Central location in são Paulo, not the "old" downtown, but the one that emerged in the 60s, with Avenida Paulista being the 'heart" of it. A large avenue, with bookstores (CULTURA, at the CONJUNTO NACIONAL), many cinemas, shoppings (Cidade de São Paulo), others, many cafes, restaurants, fast food, Park (Trianon), etc. There are "Jardim Paulista", "Jardim Europa",... Nice place to walk around, with a lot of big and beautiful houses with gardens. Lot of trees then in summer it is cool to walk. Near by you have excellent restaurants, bars, shops, museum and it is very ease to arrive by bus.

This is a beautiful neighbourhood to visit with lots of high-end shopping. There are many international brands, but also a lot of stores from Brazil, so you can find something unique. I personally loved all the shoe stores - lots of different styles that you wouldn't see in Canada. There are also many nice cafes and some good Kobra murals.

Really cool area in São Paulo where there are actually a lot of trees and interesting houses to look at. Good food can be found at okay prices and people are generally helpful when you ask for directions.

This district is also São Paulo's financial district, filled too with shopping malls, bars, restaurants, a museum, a park and lots of places to visit. This is the place to walk through the most famous avenue in town, Paulista Avenue, where hundreds of thousands of people go to everyday to work too.

Staying in Jardins

Neighbourhood Profile
Jardins
Located just below important Paulista Avenue, Jardins is the junction of four smaller neighbourhoods: Jardim Paulista, Jardim América, Jardim Europa and Jardim Paulistano. It is an upper-class area, offering a variety of things to do, including shopping, museums and parks. The neighbourhood is well known for “Oscar Freire”– the most luxurious street in the city, packed with high-end boutiques. In Jardins you will also find a trendy museum, São Paulo Museum of Image and Sound (MIS), which people often line up for hours to visit. If green space is what you're after, take time to relax at Trianon Park, a refuge in the heart of Paulista Avenue.
