If you wanna surf this is one of the best beaches you have in Ubatuba área. I did a surfing class there with MorroBoy surfing school and at the first day I was able to get my first wave, so amazing.

Ubatuba is, for me, part of heaven. This beach is good for swimmers and surfers, on separated parts. It has a river near where you also can rest. The combination sea and Serra do Mar Mountains and Atlantic woods make this beach a little paradise. Some mosquitoes can be bothersome. Bring repellent and sun screen. Avoid from Christmas to Carnaval:... More

I simply love Itamambuca! While my husband surfs I play with my girls at the beach or in the river! There are some few places to eat and the place is not crowded!

Strong waves and currents, this huge and beautiful beach offers powder sand and good parking. The water is very clean except close to the river on the right side (if you are facing the ocean).

The beach is large and open. Very family friendly and relatively safe water for kids despite having some pretty fun surf. I paddled out every morning, the water was clear and warm. Turtles and fish were plentiful with an occasional dolphin. Each early morning session allowed me a front row view of the sunrise elevating above the northern mountain line... More

Really cool place with a river that feeds into the ocean. You can chill out on an small island of sand on the river or hangout on the beach or barraca. There are a lot of people here, but nothing compared to Praia Grande. Service at the barraca nearest the river was not great, the waiters do not try very... More

This is a very beautiful beach, just about 20 minutes from the center of Ubatuba by car. There is some nice private weekend houses, but not much hotels, so this is a good beach to enjoy the nature without the crowd. There are some waves also, take your board.

a stunning beach with Atlantic rain forest behind, a river at both ends of the beach coming to join the sea, a few facilities but mostly a beautifully empty and spacious beach, good for surfing as evidenced by the (mostly men but yes some women) doing their pre surf warm up on the sand early morning.
