This is the third largest monastery in Bulgaria, officially called "Monastery of the Dormition of the Most Holy Mother of God". A lot of renovation work has been done and is ongoing here. Compared to the other two large monasteries it is lovely quiet here...More

A big monastery with many photo points. Visit the room where Vasil Levski hid. And remember to be wearing comfortable shoes, high heels are not the best option - there are cobble stones and a few narrow steps...

excellent afternoon visit this is one of the larger Monasteries in the area, and is very interesting, on many levels, historically & not just for Christians, the town of Troyan is also a "Must see" visit

I've been there several times last few years, but this year Monastery looks great, because of the good restoration work and opened new places for visitors.

A small and quaint monestary with a beautifully painted church and a little museum room dedicated to Levski. Worth visiting if you're in the area,but nothing to go out of your way for.
