Hi-light: The King statue, of course. But also the panoramic view of southernmost tip of Myanmar mainland. Location: **** No public transport up the hill, but easily assess by motorcycle or even an exercise walk. Universal design: * The place is not for the unhealthy elderly or wheel-chair people. Visited as part of a day trip from Ranong. There is not a great deal to see in the area. The statue is well maintained and there are nice views. The is an inscription in Burmese and English which explains the significance of this King.

It's a very nice gold statue, no wonder it is a landmark of Kaw thoung. I can also see the sea view on the other side of the stairs.
