Sambath and his wife offer an opportunity to get to know Cambodian culture and history in an authentic and personal way. Sambath is first of all an excellent English speaker and a highly knowledgeable guide for the entire Battambang region. His depth of knowledge about the region's history including his own powerful story surviving the Pol Pot regime is so... More

Bath took us on a half day Tuk Tuk country tour through small villages to see the local produce houses. He gave us an excellent explanation and tour, including the novel Bambu train. Thanks Bath well done for your first Wide Eyed job.

We visited as a small group and it exceeded our expectations. Great range of recipes and too much to eat! Amazing experience and explanations. A must visit when in Battambang.

I booked to cooking class with sambath via phone a day in advance for me and my friend. He said that he would pick us up at our hostel at 5pm. Since he had another appointment that day until 7, his nephew picked us up with his tuktuk and took us to the market. We told him the dishes that... More

Our group of nine family and friends, including a couple children, spent an enjoyable evening cooking a few wonderful dishes: curry chicken, fish amok, and deep fried spring rolls. We started by purchasing the needed fresh ingredients at the market (phsaa nat) and then proceeded to Sambath's home. Not only did we enjoy learning to cook these dishes, but we... More

Sambath and his wife are lovely people and the cooking class was fun and resulted in some delicious food! His wife does not speak a lot of English but we still had a fun time and shared a few giggles when I couldn't figure out how to fold the banana leafs for the fish amok. Sambath is never far for... I rate the cooking class a 4 because there could have been more explanation about the different ingredients and Cambodian cooking in general. It was a really fun evening, good value and it was the best food we ate in Cambodia. I rate Sambath as a guide and tuk tuk driver a 5. He is extremely knowledgable and knew the... More

Instead of having a cooking class in a restaurant, we decided to choose Sambath's class. We were promptly picked up from our hotel and taken straight to the market at which we chose the ingredients for our cooking. After this, we were taken to Sambath's house and was greeted by his family. Sambath's wife helped with the majority of the... More
