We arrived at dusk and waited as the sound of the bats got louder with an excited crowd. It was a great sight when it started, the bats move like they are one creature, a steady stream of them for at least 10 minutes leaving the cave. It felt like I had stepped into a nature documentary. Highly recommend doing... More

Super touristy but a pleasant way to finish the day after visiting the temples and killing caves in the nearby mountainside. Be sure to have an amarello fruit with chilli salt with your beer (ordinarily only offered to the locals)...

worth the trip out to see millions of bats pour out of the cave, moving like liquid. worth a moto trip up to the top of the mountain first to see the shrines and the killing cave. Some decent shopping stalls and street food at the bottom. if you want to sit you can buy a beer at many places... More

This was an experience for myself and my partner we absolutely loved it!! We got there a bit early to make sure we got a good spot as there is lots of tourists who come to watch. The bats come out for an hour so you will get a chance to see. You have a good view from the road... More

So many bats , albeit they are far away - interesting to see them swarming . Get a tuktuk and relax with a beer in a roadside cafe to watch them.

Get yourself a beer, sit back and wait. When we arrived at around 5pm there was already a crowd gathering directly in front of the cave and a spattering of tourists littering the many cafe/bars that line the road to the mountain temple. By the time the bats came out (about an hour later) the whole road was filled with... More

Visited the top of the mountain before watching the bats, very busy but definitely worth it! Some restaurants set up where you can park your bike 'for free' provided you buy a drink or food there to watch the bats, although most people moved once they realised they couldn't actually see it from there

Came here just to say that I had seen it. The number of bats was quite amazing. The smell was absolutely awful! Not sure I would return, however it was good to see!
