Aside from an expensive Helo ride the view of Coquimbo and surrounding area is awesome from here. If you are a senior, take advantage of the cheaper entry fee..there are 3 viewing areas, museum, top and 'cross' as it were. If you don't speak Spanish you will find English versions on may of the information plaques. If of any significance... More

Big concrete cross with church bell tower and small museum. Not much more to say really. I guess if you're in town as a tourist you should do this.

We really liked the Cruz. It is an impressive landmark and the views from inside at the top are terrific. While maybe not the most beautiful structure ever, it is certainly an impressive structure. If you decide to go, I cannot stress enough that you get a ride all the way to the top or take a tour. It is... More

Well I just completed a voyage from San Diego, Ca. to Santiago, Chile and one of the stops along the way was Coquimbo, Chile. I had read so much about this area and I wanted to see as much as I possibly could in one day. I read about a group called La Citro Verde who are owners of antique... More

We enjoyed visiting this place. If you are in the area it is a must. It's a very impressive structure that towers over Coquimbo with amazing views.

Walking up to the cross from the parking lot there are some statues depicting the crucifixion of Christ. These type of statues are found all over the area. The entry fees were very cheap (3000 for an adult and 2500 for a senior). On the ticket there are three lil stubs. One gets you into the mini museum in the... More

Isn't the most beautiful place. When you are up in the cross, you have great views. If you have time, and are going to another place close to the Cross, the go up. Don't set it as a priority.

We did a tour of Coquimbo and La Serena with South Excursions when we were there on a cruise. Our tour guide Felipe was excellent. We had a small group of 6. We first went to the Cross of the Third Millenium and it was very interesting. You walk up several flights of stairs to get to the museum, which... More

We hired a driver for a coupe of hours who took us up here. We didn't bother going in, but we did enjoy the views.

This is a strange place, The cross itself is quite ugly but the views from up there are great. Surprisingly you can take a lift to the top where surprisingly the viewing gallery has busts of various popes. There's also a museum behind the chapel
